Today's homebuyers want to live in neighborhoods that offer easy living, easy lifestyle with walkable neighborhoods.  People are looking for community life with nearby amenities and a neighborhood connection.  Recently while I was obtaining my REALTOR^®, GREEN Designation, we did indeed talk about walkable neighborhoods.  Perhaps it might be a suburb with restaurants, shops and parks; just an easy stroll from home.  A walkable neighborhood could be considered city life; living in the hippest urban spots often times is a highly sought after purchase.  With demand comes price.  A good realtor can balance the amenities with price, perhaps have alternatives if price doesn't match budget, if  the buyer is set on the walkable neighborhood idea.
